It appears Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is all set to revisit the days of Telangana movement where he declared fast unto death for the sake of separate state status to Telangana. This time KCR has threatened to go on fast if the Governor invokes Section 8 in Hyderabad.

As buzz in the political circles points towards the likelihood of section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act being invoked in Hyderabad, the two Telugu Governments have stepped up efforts in support of their respective agendas. According to a report in an English Daily, KCR would take section-8 battle to Delhi and he is even ready go on a fast or Deeksha in the national capital.

The development comes in after Attorney General Mukul Rahtogi reportedly declared that Governor ESL Narasimhan has full powers to invoke Section 8 on law and order in Hyderabad. The Telangana CM reportedly told his close confidants that he would launch a fast if the Centre attempts to snatch away control over Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, KCR also met Governor ESL Narasimhan at the Raj Bhavan on Tuesday and strongly opposed the proposal to invoking Section 8. Section-8 empowers the Governor to look after law and order in Hyderabad.
