Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is in two minds whether or not to go to New Delhi for the Niti Aayog meeting slated for June 28. During his previous visits to national capital, Rao used to meet three to four union ministers on key issues concerning the state.

He used to camp for two to three days for this purpose. But sources in CMO, say that the Chief Minister has scheduled some important meeting on June 29 and even if he decides to attend the Niti Aayog meeting he will have to come back to Hyderabad the same day. Rao had attended the earlier Niti Aayog sub-committee meeting held in Bhopal on May 28.

The sub-committee convenor and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired the meeting in which Nagaland Chief Minister T R Zeliang, Kerala Chief Minister Ommen Chandy, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Nabam Tuki, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Andaman and Nicobar Lieutanant Governor A K Singh besides Chandrashekar Rao took part.

The Bhopal meeting decided that funding pattern of some schemes in which the states and Centre share the cost of implementation needed to be changed. The CMs also felt that the states should be given the liberty to choose schemes which they wish to implement, according to their needs and priorities, and also shelve those which are irrelevant to them.
