Minister launches new DCA website

On the first day of Digital India Week Minister for Health C Lakshma Reddy has launched new website (www.dca.telangana.gov.in) of Drug Control Authority (DCA), here on Wednesday. He also launched the sales licensing software for online licensing of 37,800 pharmacists and druggists in Telangana.
Hyderabad: On the first day of Digital India Week Minister for Health C Lakshma Reddy has launched new website (www.dca.telangana.gov.in) of Drug Control Authority (DCA), here on Wednesday. He also launched the sales licensing software for online licensing of 37,800 pharmacists and druggists in Telangana.
Dr Akun Sabharwal, Director, DCA, said that licensing software would reduce the corruption and improve the transparency. “Earlier, annually about 6,500 applicants used to come to DCA office for licensing and made five to six rounds around DCA office for approval of license. Now, they can apply online. In the next phase, DCA will plan to start online licensing for drug manufacturers,” he said.
