Indian Mujahideen terror suspect Yasin Bhatkal who is housed in the Cherlapalli central prison has said that he apprehended a threat to the lives of terror suspects and filed a petition in the special court for NIA cases at Nampally asking to install CCTV surveillance cameras in the high-security barracks.


In his petition, Bhatkal alleged that as terror suspects are confined in a small cell without proper food, shelter and ventilation; having the premises covered by CCTVs would stop any foul play by authorities. He alleged further that the officials had deliberately excluded the CCTV cameras in the high-security barracks.
