Isolated rain forecast for Telangana
Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Telangana during the past 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday under the influence of the trough of low pressure from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh which is persisting.
Nalgonda, Khammam record 7 cm rainfall
Hyderabad: Heavy to very heavy rainfall occurred at isolated places in Telangana during the past 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday under the influence of the trough of low pressure from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu across coastal Andhra Pradesh which is persisting.
Rainfall occurred at a few places in Andhra Pradesh. The chief amounts of rainfall recorded (in cm) were: Telangana: Nalgonda, Khammam Urban 7 each, Bayyaram 4, Enkuru, Palakurthi, Chennaraopet, Suryapet 3 each, Eturunagaram, Chandrugonda, Thollada, Perur, Konijerla, Dornakal, Pitlam, Kothagudem and Manchal 2 each .
The Met office forecast isolated rain or thundershowers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on July 17, 18. On July 19 and 20, rain or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Telangana. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur in Andhra Pradesh. The Met office said Wednesday’s upper air cyclonic circulation over West-Central Bay of Bengal off north Tamil Nadu and south coastal Andhra Pradesh has become less marked.
An upper air cyclonic circulation lay over north-west Bay and its adjacent coastal areas. Under its influence a low pressure area system may form during the next 48 hours.
