Hyderabad: To put an end to the discontent brewing among the two Telugu states on High Court bifurcation, the advocates of Telangana State in a letter to the Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday demanded immediate bifurcation of the High Court and their protests had evoked instant reaction from the TS legal fraternity.

“The delay in bifurcation of High Court has led to continuation of entire judiciary as common for both AP and Telangana states leading to severe heartburn among the Telangana people and the injustice in judiciary is being continued even after the formation of two states,” they mentioned in the letter.

The letter claims that as per Article 241, all states should have a High Court of their own; therefore, the process to ensure that Telangana and AP get High Courts of their own should be expedited. “We request Naidu to intervene in the matter and do the needful without any further delay,” co-convener T Sriranga Rao said.
