Jai Kisan Andolan intensifies in Telangana
The farmer groups in Telangana would be joining the Jai Kisan Andolan in Delhi on August 10. Several organisations are planning activities leading up to the rally in Delhi on August 10, 2015. As a precursor to the rally in Delhi, a State level Jai Kisan rally was planned on August 7 in Hyderabad.

As a precursor to the rally in Delhi, a State level Jai Kisan rally was planned on August 7 in Hyderabad.
The members of Rythu Swarajya Vedika, Telangana Vidyavantula Vedika, Dalit Bahujan Front and other peoples’ organisations plan to collect soil in pots from 1,000 villages and reach Delhi for the rally. In all, one lakh villages would be sending their pots to Delhi to show the widespread resistance across the country.
The farmer organisations have been objecting to the Land Acquisition (Amendment) Ordinance Bill and want it to be withdrawn. The demands include Farmers' Income Guarantee Act to ensure an income of at least Rs.15,000 per month to every agricultural household, compensation for crop loss should be increased to Rs.10,000 per acre and paid within 1 month to the affected farmers and three acres of land should be given to each landless farmer's family.
Representatives of different organisations declared their participation in Jai Kisan mobilization which was initiated by Swaraj Abhiyan. From Hyderabad, 100 representatives will attend the Jai Kisan rally on Parliament Street on August 10.
