Hyderabad: Lok Satta Party on Saturday accused the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, of not keeping his promise to create jobs for the youth. “KCR, his family members and defectors only get jobs and not the youth,” said Lok Satta Telangana State unit president Panduranga Rao.

The Chief Minister, who promised a job to every household in Telangana State, had been “playing games” with lakhs of unemployed youth. He demanded that the TRS government immediately issue job notification for government jobs and initiate steps to create jobs in private sector.

The Lok Satta Party staged a protest in front of Telangana State Secretariat on Saturday and displayed placards and raised slogans against the Chief Minister. Panduranga Rao alleged that the Chief Minister was spending several crores of rupees on publicity and routine programmes, but not spending a single rupee on creating jobs for the unemployed youth.

Some five lakh youth from each district in Telangana State were eagerly waiting for job notifications, he said. The TRS government was trying to take the youth for a ride by promising to create 40,000 jobs through Telangana mission. Party general secretary Solkar Reddy alleged that the State government was citing the reason of delay in division of employees between two states for not issuing job notification.

He said it was a mere pretext. He demanded that the Chief Minister issue job notification to fill 52,000 vacancies. Lok Satta Greater Hyderabad president and general secretary Dosapati Ramu and Bonthu Sambi Reddy respectively were also present. The police arrested the protesting Lok Satta leaders and shifted them to Nampally Police Station.
