Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is understood to have expressed his displeasure over a reported incident in which a person attempted suicide in front of the house of home minister Naini Narsimha Reddy’s son- in- law in a settlement case on Friday night.

It is learnt that home minister’s son- in- law Srinivas Reddy was settling a case in which two persons Naveen and Sudhir had given a loan of about Rs 38 lakhs to a woman called Mayuri Tucker. This lady did not repay the loan and threatened them that she knew the home minister and the Chief Minister and would get them fixed. When they put pressure on her she asked them to come to Srinivas Reddy’s office for settlement.

It is alleged that when these people went to Srinivas Reddy’s office they were attacked by henchmen of Srinivas Reddy. Upset over this, Sudhir attempted suicide by slitting his throat with a blade. In the backdrop of this situation, KCR who had convened a meeting to review the arrangements for Bonalu on Saturday with Naini, Talasani Srinivas Yadav and Padma Rao is understood to have sought an explanation from the home minister.

After the review of Bonalu was over and the two other ministers left, KCR is said to have discussed the matter with the home minister and is said to have expressed his displeasure over such incidents. Settlements used to take place in the undivided Andhra Pradesh but now such things should not happen, the CM is learnt to have remarked.
