Hyderabad: Telangana unit of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Monday said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao enacted a fresh drama in the name of ‘Grama Jyothi’ only to hide the government’s failure in fulfilling the promises and hoodwink the people again.

Addressing the press here, TDP working president L Ramana alleged that the TRS government had failed on all fronts including addressing agricultural crisis that forced many farmers to commit suicide in the State in the last 14 months.

Not a single measure was taken to protect the farmers in distress. Not a single farmer was relieved from the debt burden under the waiver scheme so far, he said. In a scathing attack, the TDP leader said Chandrashekar Rao was the only Chief Minister in the country who changed his cavalcade with 18 cars.

On the other side, the Chief Minister’s daughter and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha and his son and Panchyat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao were accorded ‘royal treatment’ in the government against the protocol.
