The Home Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Bheemgal and Sadasiva Nagar Police stations here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion,Minister Naini Narsimha Reddy said, “The Telangana State government decided to strengthen the police department in the State and allotted the Rs 350 crores to purchase new vehicles and other equipments”.

He said the government decided to appoint 33 per cent women constables to provide security to women in the State. Also, the government was providing Rs five lakh accidental insurance to the drivers, home guards and journalists and increased Rs 3,000 salary to home guards, he added.

DGP Anurag Sharma said the government has decided to strengthen the police department in the State by filling the 9,000 constable posts and appointing 33 per cent women constables at each police station to provide security to the women in the state. He said the Command Control Centre that was being constructed would provide more surveillance in the State.

Each and every vehicle can be observed and orders can be issued when any crime occurs with the help of Command Control Centre, he added. State DGP Anurag Sharma, Additional DGP Sudeep Laktakia, Range DIG Gandhar, Balkonda and Yellareddy MLAs Vemula Prashanth Reddy and Yenugu Ravinder Reddy, district Collector Yogita Rana, SP Chandrashekhar Reddy and others participated in the programme.
