TSPSC notifies syllabi for Group exams
Hyderabad: Now it pays to know Telangana history, geography, economy, art, culture and polity for this knowledge could fetch government jobs. The Telangana State Public Service Commission, which has announced the syllabus for Group I, II, III, IV, gazetted and non-gazetted category examinations here on Monday, has focused on various aspects of Telangana which will be used to screen the job-seekers.
The expert committee, which framed the syllabus for the TSPSC examinations, emphasised more on the Telangana content.The Group I exam, which has an exclusive paper on Telangana, will feature a unit on princely state of Hyderabad, geography, culture under the heading ‘Idea of Telangana’.
Under the mobilisational phase, topics like court judgements on Mulki rules, Jai Andhra Movement and its consequences and 6-Point Formula 1973 will figure. This paper will also have Telangana movement from 1991 to 2014.The Committee also emphasised on inclusion of Indian history, science and technology and data interpretation for the Group I exam.
Addressing newspersons after releasing the syllabi for various recruitments, TSPSC Chairman Prof. Ganta Chakrapani said syllabus was part of the notification. However, it was released well in advance as several unemployed youth made representations to the Commission. “Now there is ample time for preparation for various exams,” he said.
Syllabi for various recruitments had been made available on http://www.tspsc.gov.in/ Some of the topics for the Group II exams include socio-culture conditions in Ancient Telangana, foundation of Asaf Jahi dynasty from Nizam-ul-Mulk to Mir Osaman Ali Khan, Telangana economy in the undivided Andhra Pradesh and land reforms in Telangana.
It will also have development dynamics: regional inequalities in India, social inequalities, caste, ethnicity (tribe), gender and region, migration and urbanisation. The Group II also has an exclusive paper on the Telangana movement and State formation. The Group III services syllabus, which has three papers, has topics on Telangana state and also on the Indian economy, issues of development and change. Similarly, for the Group IV services, which have two papers, will have current affairs, international relations and event, general science, history and movement of Telangana, policies of Telangana so and so forth.
The TSPSC would announce job notifications for agricultural department, water board and motor vehicle inspectors next week. “In case of Group I and II services, we are waiting for some more posts. Once we receive we will release the notification,” said Chakrapani.
