More than 2,000 Haj pilgrims reach Mecca. As many as 2,040 pilgrims from different parts of Telangana State have safely reached the Mecca to perform Haj 2015.

Hyderabad: As many as 2,040 pilgrims from different parts of Telangana State have safely reached the Mecca to perform Haj 2015. According to State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof S A Shukoor, so far 2,040 pilgrims reached Mecca through six flights from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad. While three batches left for the holy journey on Wednesday, three more batches went for Haj on Thursday. The first batch left at 6.10 am, second at 4.10 pm and third at 7.30 pm.

The pilgrims who reached holy Mecca include 98 from Adilabad, 105 from Karimnagar, 51 from Khammam, 197 from Mahbubnagar, 131 from Medak, 103 from Nalgonda, 193 from Nizamabad, 147 from Ranga Reddy, 81 from Warangal and 1,610 from Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Another batch of 345 pilgrims from Hyderabad will leave for to Mecca on Friday at 9.10 am. The remaining pilgrims of Telangana would take flights on September 7 and 8.
