Speaking on the occasion, RDO Anjaiah said, “Every person who crossed 18 years of age by January 1, 2016, must be enrolled in voters’ list. For the confirmation of age, the candidate’s class 10 marks certificate must be taken into consideration.”The age confirmation for other persons can be taken into consideration either by seeing their any identity card or confirmation given by village sarpanch or the elders of the village, he added.

The RDO further said that the booth-level officers must examine the electoral list by checking the names of the persons with the voters’ list. The name of the persons who died in the village or left the village after marriage must be removed from the voter’s list, he said.“Also, a report must be prepared and submitted about the persons who in voters’ list who were living abroad,” Anjaiah said.

“The Village Revenue Officers, supervisors and booth level officers must coordinate with each other and prepare voters’ list by conducting the family survey properly in the villages by visiting each and every house.

In case of houses found with locked doors during survey, a sticker must be pasted to the doors of such houses, he said. Bhadrachalam Tahsildar Rama Krishna, Dummugudem Tahsildar Nageshwar Rao were present along with the booth-level officers.
