IPS officer Akun Sabharwal had filed a demation suit against the Outlook magazine accusing the representatives Madhavi Tata, Sahil Bhatia, Krishna Prasada and Indranil Roy of defaming his wife and IAS officer Smitha Sabharwal.

But with Outlook approaching the court seeking cancellation of the petition, High Court judge Justice B Sivasankar Rao has deferred the verdict after hearing out the arguments. The High Court granted relief to the four representatives of the Outlook till the verdict is given.

An article was published on Smitha Sabharwal in the Outlook magazine which the IAS officer found objectionable.
