Hyderabad: The State BJP is caught on the horns of a dilemma as to whether or not to field a candidate in the Warangal Lok Sabha byelection. While the district leaders are insisting that the party should not leave the seat to T TDP, the State leaders feel that it would be advantageous for the party to contest the Sanatnagar Assembly seat and leave Warangal to their ally TTDP.

In fact, the T TDP also seems to be sharing the same view. But the district BJP leaders have represented to the State leaders that if they do not contest Warangal byelection, it would endanger the existence of the party in the State. The BJP is not just a party of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts.

They are also resenting the domination of leaders from these two districts in the party. District leaders from about eight districts told The Hans India that the State leadership had failed to take them into confidence and was taking decisions sitting in Hyderabad.

These leaders are also unhappy over the recent developments within the party like formation of a separate committee for Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts. They say that if the State leadership does not change its attitude, they would represent the matter to the party high command and explain the injustice meted out to them.

It is said that Dommati Sambaiah from TDP and Aagam Chandrasekhar from BJP are in the race for party tickets.
