Meanwhile, Dr S V Masood, Deputy Superintendent of Gandhi Hospital took charge as Nodal officer of Swine Flu Centre at Gandhi Hospital in place of Dr Narasimhulu.

Speaking to The Hans India Dr Masood said a committee was formed to monitor swine flu cases in Gandhi Hospital with Dr G Venkateswarlu, Superintendent, Gandhi Hospital, and a professor of pediatrics, a professor of general medicine and a resident medical officer. Since January, 75 deaths were reported in Gandhi Hospital alone, he said.
