HC closes case of engg colleges

The two-judge PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Monday closed the case of about 30 engineering colleges on the vexed question of affiliation and approval and the jurisdiction of the JNTU-H in refusing affiliation after they were given approval by the AICTE.
Hyderabad: The two-judge PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Monday closed the case of about 30 engineering colleges on the vexed question of affiliation and approval and the jurisdiction of the JNTU-H in refusing affiliation after they were given approval by the AICTE.
When the batch of cases came up before the bench of acting Chief Justice Dilip Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt, the counsels identified the 30 appellants who had both approval and affiliation and recorded that no further orders were required in the matters.
The bench directed the counsels to prepare certain documents reducing the areas of controversy and directed that the cases be listed on Tuesday.
