Seven more swine flu cases reported

Hyderabad: In an alarming development, seven fresh cases of swine flu have been reported in Telangana on Tuesday, taking the number of positive cases detected in the State to 85 since August 1.

Between August 1 and September 22, 537 samples were tested, of which 85 were found to be positive and the number of deaths because of swine flu and other complications as of date were three, said an official statement.

On September 22, about 40 cases were tested, of which eight were found to be positive.

The statement said sufficient stock of medicines and testing kits were available and asked the citizens to report to a hospital on noticing first symptoms of swine flu-like high fever, sneezing and cough.
