The monsoon session of Telangana Legislature that began on Wednesday will sit till October 10 with a total of 10 working days.
The monsoon session of Telangana Legislature that began on Wednesday will sit till October 10 with a total of 10 working days. The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting chaired by Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary took the decision and the assembly will hold its sittings on the dates - September 29, 30, October 1, 5,6,7,8,9 and 10.

With Government taking up the Opposition's demand of the debate on farmers' suicides, the debate will be held on September 29. The Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was reportedly quoted telling the other BAC members that he is ready to discuss the farmers' issue as the Government was committed for the welfare of the farmers.
The meeting also agreed to take up debates on other issues such as welfare programmes, power position, new industrial policy, pending irrigation projects and defections. When defections of their party MLAs to the ruling party issue was taken up for debate by the Congress and the TDP members, the TRS members expressed their consent to participate in the debate and was allowed in the meeting.
