Crores are being spent and yet the impact is abysmal the reason is simple behaviour is not changed. Can the Leadership of TS Govt demonstrate to speak only about the need to bring in positive change in the behaviour for one month by shunning to criticize others !! Then everybody will realize the power of it.
All politicians are very successful in ensuring that their way of serving people is through divide them first and then rule them forever. This is the behaviour of our politicians. Here is a case in this regard.
Our Auto Drivers in the GHMC area
All the trade union leaders right from Venkaiah Naidu to Nayani have been protecting their leadership status not by empowering Auto Drivers but by using them as vote banks.
If the goal of the TRS is Bangaru Telangana, it shall empower Auto Drivers by facilitating a formation of a Cooperative with norms like the Dabba Walaas in Mumbai adopt. Who is interested in this?
The common man feels the impact of Bangaru Telangana only when he/she is treated well and charged reasonably by the Auto Drivers.
The following facts indicate the current status of our Auto service being provided and the Drivers:
Autos stop at their will at any point on the road
Mostly Autos choose to stop at the turning of the roads to get customers causing so much trouble to the traffic.
Autos pollute the air
Auto Drivers charge at their will and do not comply with govt approved rates
Many auto drivers charge not based on meter reading
Auto Drivers spit at their will on the roads
Only a few Auto Drivers speak with respect and behave decently
Most Auto Drivers drink, smoke and eat Ghutka
Many Auto Drivers suffer from backache
A very few Auto Drivers do Yoga every day
Some Auto Drivers befriend with Traffic and general Police and violate norms
Auto are overloaded at peak hours to transport students
Only a few autos possess third party insurance, pollution check up certificate etc.
Autos will have sharp iron ribbons to protect the wheel guards that often scratch the bodies of the cars while taking turns.
Yet there exceptions like this to prove the above wrong:

Challenges:
Ola like cabs are diverting even the lower middle class customers as they offer better prices and comfort.
Auto stands are not real unions only opportunistic ones
Auto Drivers are divided and ruled by few leaders
Poor family background, criminal record, rudeness
Poor health and bad food habits
The very autos are not upgraded in terms of technology the same old stuff
No concerted efforts to get united and stay united to serve in a competitive manner
Still autos can make Cabs to run for their money if they adopt creative methods but there is hardly any movement in this regard.
Auto Drivers command a good vote bank and can influence the process of GHMC Elections but they are divided by the concerted efforts of politicians.
These are just some of the issues that confront the auto drivers in GHMC area in particular and in the state in general. This is just a case to talk about the ways to achieve Bangaru Telangana. When our Auto Drivers speak with respect and politeness this is a clear indication of Bangaru Telangana. The auto drivers at Chennai Central Station represent the extreme case in the country and they too are now facing huge challenge from the cabs. Some of them have started converting into cab drivers.
Our Auto Drivers can form into a cooperative company and provide the best and highly competitive services by leveraging the IT and GPRS. Many wish to use Auto for various reasons.
For this to happen again we need a change in the behaviour. TSGovt can invest resources to bring in this change and prove that it can achieve Bangaru Telangana.
