Highlighting the farmers' suicide in a detailed speech in the Telangana Assembly on Wednesday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave an assurance to the farmers. Sharing the government's decision of releasing Rs 25,000 crore towards irrigation every year upto coming three years, the Chief Minister appealed farmers not to commit suicide.

KCR stated that the government would fulflil the concerns of the farmers also assured the provision of quality seeds and power supply. Further, the Chief Minister said that the productivity rate along with research work will be encouraged by the government and that each 5000 acres will be monitored by an officer who will be appointed specifically for that.
KCR even shared his disappointment over opposition parties not coming forward to help the Telangana government in the issue of farmers suicides.
