Due to the mounting debts, three farmers committed suicide in Telangana in the last 24 hours. A farmer identified as Marri Jagan belonging to Arnakonda village in Choppadandi mandal of Karimnagar district had committed suicide by consuming pesticide.

After being admitted in the hospital, the farmer succumbed to death while undergoing treatment on Saturday. The family members of the farmer informed that he had taken the extreme step as he was unable to bear the pressure of debt.

In another case, a farmer, Konda Yadayya committed suicide on Friday night by consuming pesticide. The farmer from Epur village in Chityala Mandal of Nalgonda district invested heavily in his seven acres of cotton farm but due to the mounting debts, Yadayya, unable to find a way out committed suicide.

A farmer named Anjanappa committed suicide in Nagasamandar village in Dharur mandal of Ranga Reddy district. The farmer vexed with the financial problems poured kerosene over himself and set ablaze on Friday. The police registered a case and are investigating.
