Chiru’s house set for vastu makeover

Vaastu sastra has now caught up with actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. Following in the footsteps of two Telugu states Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu, Chiranjeevi is now in the midst of getting his majestic-looking house, built on 3,000 square yards in Jubilee Hill, remoulded to make it “vastu compliant.”

Hyderabad: Vaastu sastra has now caught up with actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. Following in the footsteps of two Telugu states Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and N Chandrababu Naidu, Chiranjeevi is now in the midst of getting his majestic-looking house, built on 3,000 square yards in Jubilee Hill, remoulded to make it “vastu compliant.” Heeding to the advice of vaastu experts, the star-turned-politician has deployed an army of workers to redesign a few parts of the house. These few sections in the house are said to be at variance with canons of vaastu sastra. An industry source claims that Chiranjeevi has earmarked between Rs 2 and 3 crore for this purpose.
The source maintains that the operation redesigning has begun with the star consulting vastu expert. The expert has reportedly suggested some alterations on the northeast side of house because the present design may cause “unhappiness to the landlord. The alterations, the expert claim, will bring back “happiness” to the landlord.
The palatial building the actor has owned has attracted the attention of cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar. He took pains to bring along with him interior designer to ensure that his house too was designed in the same mould as that of Chiranjeevi’s mansion.
The actor’s house has a swimming pool and elegant garden on the second floor of the house. The aesthetically designed house came in for praise from B-town star Salman Khan. The Hindi actor visited the house during his visit to the city to attend Ram Charan’s wedding.
Chiranjeevi unhappiness could have stemmed from debacle of his venture in political realm. He made a debut by floating a political party, Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) but it was subsequently merged with the Congress.
Thus his dreams of building a party to reign over the united state of Andhra Pradesh ended in fiasco. Now, the actor is making mega plans to return to big screen. It could be that he does not want to leave any amiss. He has now moved to a new house to see that alterations are carried out in his house.
