Osman Sagar Lake to get a facelift
The Telangana State government on Tuesday has decided to modernise and beautify the Osman Sagar Lake under Mission Kakatiya. Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao held a special meeting with officials of various departments and directed them to include Osman Sagar Lake under the mission.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State government on Tuesday has decided to modernise and beautify the Osman Sagar Lake under Mission Kakatiya. Minister for Irrigation T Harish Rao held a special meeting with officials of various departments and directed them to include Osman Sagar Lake under the mission.
He has also constituted a four member committee which includes officials from the Irrigation department, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), Revenue department and Police department for modernising the lake.
The committee will draw boundaries around the lake and has decided to take up the beautification process in about a 10 kilometre radius in Phase-I. Irrigation engineer-in-chief C Muralidhar Rao, Minor Irrigation Chief Engineer Nagender Rao, Cyberabad Commissioner CV Anand, other officials participated in the meeting.
