TDP may leave seat to BJP

Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy on Wednesday discussed the strategy with the T TDP leaders and the latter readily agreed to it.
According to sources, the TTDP has almost decided to leave the seat to the BJP. The BJP intends to canvass among the people that Warangal was well represented with Kadiyam Srihari being the Deputy Chief Minister in the State Cabinet and S Madhusudhana Chary the Assembly Speaker in Telangana State.
“If the BJP candidate wins, Warangal will be on the national map because the contestant, if he wins, will be inducted into the Union Cabinet,” the party decided to take the message to the people to drum up support from the voters.
The BJP high command and T TDP leadership have felt that the strategy would help boost the chances of the combine.
The NDA government’s sanctioning of AMRUT and HRIDAY (National Heritage City Development) status would also be canvassed among the people, the leaders said.
T TDP President L Ramana suggested inclusion of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s action in encouraging defection from other parties and the government’s failure to implement poll promises in the poll campaign.
