Hyderabad: TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that the TRS government failed to fulfil even a single assurance it had made though it came to power 17 months ago. Speaking to the media here on Sunday after handing over the B-Form to Warangal byelection Congress candidate Siricilla Rajaiah, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the TRS government had deceived the people of Warangal district and demoralised the farmers in a big way.
He said the people believed in the TRS party’s assurances made during the elections but the TRS failed to fulfil a single assurance after the election. He also said the cotton farmers were not getting minimum support price and there was no procurement of cotton. “The government was resorting to lathi-charge if anybody questioned it. The government also got Maoist leaders Shruthi and Vidyasagar killed in a fake encounter.
The TRS government deceived the youth by not providing promised jobs and farmers by not implementing crop loan waiver. Stating that not a single section was happy with the TRS and BJP governments, Uttam Kumar said the people were ready to teach a fitting lesson to these governments. He exuded confidence that the Congress candidate would win the election by a margin of over one lakh votes.
He alleged that there was no address to Kaloji Health University in Warangal and not yet started works of Prof Jayashankar Memorial Park. He said Warangal people were ready to teach a fitting lesson to the TRS government in the coming elections. Speaking on the occasion, Congress candidate Siricilla Rajaiah said he worked hard and fought for separate Telangana State to fulfil the aspirations of the people of Telangana and strived for passage of Telangana Bill in Parliament.
He said the people of Warangal were well aware of what he had done for the Telangana movement. He said the Congress alone had realised the dream of Telangana people but the TRS was not fulfilling its assurances after coming to power. Asking the people to identify the difference between the TRS and the Congress, he urged the people to ensure his victory to give a gift to AICC chief Sonia Gandhi.
