Hyderabad: All is set for the Ayutha Chandi Maha Yagam to be performed by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao between December 23 and 27. According to Chandrashekar Rao, normally no one dares to perform such a yagam since it involves a lot of organisational skills. It requires about 1,500 Ritwiks and 4,000 priests and finding them at one place is not possible.

TRS supremo  and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao offering sweet to party MP K Keshav Rao at the TRS Bhavan following the party’s resounding victory in Warangal bypoll on Tuesday.He said they had to scout for the priests and Ritwiks from four States. The Chief Minister said he was performing the yagam for the benefit of the society and added that he was a strong believer in god and has been performing yagams for a very long time. Replying to a question, he said he had invited the President of India and was hopeful that he would attend

the yagam. “I will also invite Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu,” he said. The Chief Minister further appealed to the political leaders like CPI general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy not to make baseless comments on individual faith and belief. Chandrashekar Rao said the entire cost of the yagam would be around Rs 3 crore and added he would meet the entire expenditure on his own.
