The Committee members decided to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Arun Jaitly on December 10 and request them to take necessary steps to rescue the farming community.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Wednesday, P Sugunakar Rao, Kisan Morcha national general secretary said that a 20-member delegation including former Karnataka Chief Minister Yedyurappa would meet the Prime Minister and Finance Minister on December 10 and submit a memorandum to them requesting to take steps to protect the agriculture sector. He said that the agriculture sector in the country was in trouble following the drought kind of situation prevailing in various states and increase of input investment on cultivation.
