KTR: Apache helicopters manufacturing unit to be set up in Hyderabad

Telangana Panchayat Raj and IT Minister KT Rama Rao addressing the Boeing Global Summit in Gachibowli on Wednesday said that Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL) will be forming a joint venture to manufacture Apache helicopters in Hyderabad.

Apache is the world’s most advanced multi-role combat helicopter is used by a number of international defence forces world wide with US Army being one of them. KTR informed that Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems recently signed an agreement to launch the new manufacturing unit for Apache Helicopters in Hyderabad.

Asserting that defence and aerospace sectors are Telangana government's priority, the Minister further said that more employment will be generated with the Apache Helicopters manufacturing unit set up in Hyderabad.
