Kerala professor bags Ram Reddy Award
Dr Sony Pelisserry, 39, Associate Professor at Bangalore National School of Law will be presented with ‘Young Social Scientist’ Award by G Ram Reddy Memorial Trust at a programme to be held at CESS, Begumpet, on December 4. This award carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and a citation.

Prof G Ram Reddy Memorial Trust has Prof Ch Hanumanth Rao as its chairman and Prof Haragopal as secretary. It has been presenting the national award to young social scientists for excellence in the fields of public policy, rural development and distance education every two years.
Dr Sony did his doctorate from Oxford University. The programme will be held at 11 am on Friday. It will be followed by a lecture by the award winner himself on ‘Public Policy’, his subject of research.
