Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau of Telangana will be organising Anti-Corruption Week from December 3, its Director General A K Khan said on Wednesday. AK Khan said that there was no place for corrupt officers in the ACB. There will be cultural events during the week-long programme to bring about awareness among the people against the evil of corruption in government departments. Towards this end, posters to educate people on the evil will be displayed in all bus stands and railway stations across the State.

Referring to the infamous note-for-vote case, Khan said the case is being investigated in a transparent manner. The DG said that action against Karimnagar ASI Mohan Reddy will be initiated soon after the receipt of a report from the CID. He made it clear that his department was making all-out efforts to curb corrupt activities of greedy and dishonest officials. Though there was shortage of staff in the ACB, his officials were functioning efficiently to cleanse the administration of corrupt elements, he added.

He also disclosed that his department proposed to open a Cyber Cell to handle digital evidence in investigation and to impart training in Cyber forensic to officers. Besides, the ACB will shortly get into social networks like Facebook and WhatsApp to ensure better communication between citizens and the ACB. They were also contemplating to launch a website to suit to smartphones, tablet/pad, desktop and laptop, he added.
