Hyderabad: Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma assured to resolve the issues of the State Special Police Battalions after discussing them with the government.

He was addressing the police personnel after inauguration of the Bell of Arms and Magazine complex built at the campus of 8th battalion of the TSSP at Kondapur on Wednesday.

Telangana State Special Police Inspector General V V Srinivas Rao briefed the DGP on issues like insufficient manpower, budget and amenities at all the battalions.

After reviewing the problems of the battalions, DGP assured them that he would discuss the issues with Chief Minister and Home Minister Naini Narasimha Reddy and do the needful.

The new building complex has been constructed at a cost of Rs 2.22 crore (Bell of Arms) and Rs 44.69 lakh (Magazine) under the allocation of funding for Modernisation of Police Force, both from Union and State governments.

Battalions of Yusufguda, Mamunuru, Dichpalli, Anaparthy, Mancherial, Sattupalli and Karimnagar attended the event at Kondapur on Wednesday.
