Justice Dr B Siva Sankara Rao refused to close the controversy surrounding the quash proceedings filed by Jerusalem Mattaiah, one of the accused in the Cash for Vote scam. Advocate General K Ramakrishna Reddy who appears for the state/prosecution pointed out that since the charge sheet was already filed in the case involving the petitioner and TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, the court need not hear the case on merits.

Opposing the plea, the petitioner's counsel pointed out that though the charge sheet was filed, the court was yet to take cognizance and therefore the petition warranted adjudication.
