3 held for selling 8 quintals of PDS rice

Three people were arrested by the South Zone Task Force Police on Thursday in a joint raid conducted by Civil Supply Department enforcement wing officials for diverting rice meant for Public Distribution System (PDS). As much as eight quintals of PDS rice have been seized from possession of the accused.

As much as eight quintals of PDS rice have been seized from possession of the accused.
The accused, Abdul Raheem (34), a petty businessman from Dabeerpura, Chandru (39) and Suryudu (36), grocery shop owners from Dabeerpura, were found selling the PDS rice illegally at a higher price. The seized property and the arrested were handed over to the Mirchowk Police, said task force Additional DCP N Koti Reddy.
