Hyderabad: The Telangana government employees are pinning their hopes on the five-member committee appointed by the Centre, to solve all their complaints and grievances regarding staff allocation made by CR Kamalanathan panel for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

According to TNGO honorary president G Deviprasad, already 250 objections have been brought to the notice of the new committee headed by Joint Secretary (Home) and consisting of Chief Secretaries of both the States and top bureaucrats L Premachandra Reddy and K Ramakrishna Rao as other members.

Employees of both the States, who feel that the Kamalanathan panel could not solve their grievances, were asked to bring the issue to the notice of the 5-member panel. It will be meeting once or twice a month, depending on the necessity. This apart, the committee has also been entrusted with the big task of distribution of assets and liabilities as well as staff division in institutions coming under Schedules-IX and X.

So far, final allocation in 119 HoDs, out of a total 149, has been completed, stated TNGO leaders who have been closely monitoring the developments. Of these, 53 have been cleared by the Central government and also uploaded onto the related website. Transport, Excise, Panchayat Raj, Stamps and Registration, Economics and Statistics, Marketing, Horticulture, BC Welfare and Social Welfare are some of the departments where final allocation of staff was done for the two States.

The Kamalanathan panel is working on final allocation of nearly 30 HoDs including the Home and Medical & Health, Ayush etc. With the deadline being extended till March 2016, the Centre-appointed committee has ample time to complete the formalities.
