Sangareddy: The Medak District unit of Progressive Democratic Students Union (PDSU) has called upon its activists to build a strong student movement against saffroniaation of education.

The call was given at the PDSU State conference held in Hyderabad between December 18 and 20. Addressing the media at TNGOs Bhavan at Sangareddy on Friday as part of PDSU district-level conference, M Srinivas, former PDSU State president, alleged that the NDA government in the footsteps of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was trying to induct religious ideology into education. It would lead to distortion of history.

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also trying to hand over the education sector into the hands of multi-national companies. He called upon the student community to actively participate in the protests organised by “Save Education Committee” in New Delhi from December 9 to 13.
