Addressing a large gathering of Christians, as part of the Christmas festivities organised by Bible Research India Ministries (BRIM) at Sangareddy on Friday, Harish wished all the Christians a Merry Christmas in advance.

Hoping that the Christian Bhavan, sanctioned with Rs 10 crore at Mahindra Hills in Hyderabad, would be completed before next Christmas, he said a Christian Commission has also been set up to address the issues of Christians.

He said the only permission to construct a church was from the concerned Gram Panchayat and nothing else. He also assured allotment of lands for graveyards and clarified that Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak were not only meant for Hindus and Muslims, but also for poor Christians who could apply and get Rs 51,000 within a week. He assured that the government would also give money for building churches.

The programme was attended by MLA Chinta Prabhakar, BRIM Director KR John, BRIM Chairman John Sunder Raj and others.
