A 14-month-old girl named as Kausalya was mowed down by a school bus killing her on the spot in Medak district on Saturday.
The girl who was playing in front of her house was hit by the bus that had come to take her two elder brothers to school. Sangareddy inspector S Venkatesh said that the bus driver started the bus after the two kids boarded the bus without noticing Kausalya who came under the rear left tyre of the bus and died on the spot.
The Police informed that the girl's parents Ramesh and Lalitha were busy with household work when the incident had taken place. While the body of the girl has been handed over to the family after postmortem, a case under Section 304 (a) was registered against bus driver Rafeeq based on the complaint from her father Ramesh.
