In order to sensitise the public on the alarming rise in oral cancers and also to spread awareness about prosthodontic speciality, a Cancer Rehabilitation Health Awareness Run was organised by Indian Prosthodontic Society as part of the ongoing 43rd Indian Prosthodontic Society Conference here on Saturday.

Participants in the 43rd Indian Prosthodontic Society Conference taking part in Cancer Rehabilitation Health Awareness run in Hyderabad on Saturday Hyderabad: In order to sensitise the public on the alarming rise in oral cancers and also to spread awareness about prosthodontic speciality, a Cancer Rehabilitation Health Awareness Run was organised by Indian Prosthodontic Society as part of the ongoing 43rd Indian Prosthodontic Society Conference here on Saturday.

Experts at the venue pointed out that prosthodontic specialises in cosmetic restoration and replacement of teeth associated with clinical conditions like missing teeth, deficient teeth compromised maxilla-facial tissues by using the latest in biocompatible substitutes.

The speciality works towards restoration of optimum appearance, function, enhancing the smile, over all confidence and well being of an individual.

This is the first ever total paper-free conference and also the Society’s biggest ever and is in tune with the Prime Minister’s ‘Digital India’ call.

The Run, which was conducted from HICC entrance to Charminar, had the participation of scores of enthusiastic men and women.

Prominent participants in the conference, which concludes on Sunday, include Conference Chairman, Dr K Mahendranadh Reddy, Secretary Dr V Rangarajan, Organising Secretary Dr Jangala Hari, President-elect Dr Himanshu Aeran among others.
