District rural sports meet from Dec 17

Volleyball and athletics for boys on 17th, volleyball and athletics for girls on 18th, football and kabaddi for boys on 19th, archery, boxing, swimming for girls on 20th, football, kabaddi for girls on 21st, kho kho, basketball, badminton for boys on 22nd, kho kho, basket ball, badminton for girls on 23rd, would be conducted. The collector said that Rs 12.15 lakh was earmarked for conducting rural sports at mandal- and district-level.
He instructed the district sports authority to complete mandal-level sports meet by December 12. Mandal parishad development officers were given each Rs 30,000 for conducting sports, district sports officer Kabirdas said and asked the MPDOs to contact him for any clarification.
