Hyderabad: Minister for Panchayat Raj K T Rama Rao on Monday urged the Centre to allot adequate funds to boost the rural development programmes in the State.

IT and Panchayat Raj Minister K T Rama Rao, along with TRS MPs, submitting a representation to Union Rural Development Minister Chaudhary Birender Singh at Parliament House in New Delhi on Monday.KTR called on Union Rural Development Minister Birendra Singh in Delhi and discussed with him the various issues and sought his support for development of backward districts in the State.

He was accompanied by TRS MPs Jithender Reddy, Vishweshwar Reddy and Sitharam Naik when he held discussions with the Union Minister.

KTR urged the Union Minister to allot funds for the development of backward districts in the State. He also apprised Singh of welfare schemes, development programmes and projects, besides the flagship programmes, such as Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bhagiratha and other welfare schemes.
