Congress sure of victory in MLC polls
Congress deputy floor leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy exuded confidence that the Congress candidate contesting in the Legislative Council elections from Local Authorities Constituency (LAC) would win with a majority of 250 to 300 votes. He also dared the TRS to go for the elections without maintaining ‘camps.

Speaking at a media conference in Nalgonda on Thursday, Venkat Reddy said that highest number of MPTCs and ZPTCs won in the local bodies elections due to the key role played by the Congress in the Telangana agitation.
Out of 1,110 total MPTCs, ZPTCs and Municipal Councillors, 540 members won in the local bodies elections on Congress symbol only, he stated.
Stating that the Congress never asked any voter to come to the camp, he alleged that the TDP conducted camp 20 days prior to the polling. The Congress would never conduct any camp as it has strength of 540 voters, he maintained. Referring to the Chityal incident during the MPP elections, Venkat Reddy alleged that a TRS MLA had created terror at the polling station and saw that their candidate would be elected as MPP. He urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to control such leaders.
He strongly criticised KCR for fielding T Chinnapa Reddy in the MLC elections as the TRS candidate. He reminded that Chinnapa Reddy never participated in the Telangana agitation and never gave slogan of Jai Telangana. KCR has been giving party tickets to the rich persons and neglected the leaders, who participated in the Telangana agitation and went to jail.
