Justice CV Nagarjuna Reddy of the High Court at Hyderabad on Thursday directed the authorities of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the State Election Commission to respond to the question where voters belonging to one ward were shown as voters of another division. The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by former Corporator and floor leader of BJP in GHMC Bangari Prakash and two others. The petitioners said that voters who should have been shown as voters of Mehdipatnam ward as per the new delimitation were shown as voters of Asif Nagar and Gudimalkapur wards.

The judge was dealing with a writ petition filed by former Corporator and floor leader of BJP in GHMC Bangari Prakash and two others. The petitioners said that voters who should have been shown as voters of Mehdipatnam ward as per the new delimitation were shown as voters of Asif Nagar and Gudimalkapur wards.
The petitioners submitted various documents such as the Enumerator Blocks (EB) which formed the basis for new delimitation of Mehdipatnam and the voters list for Asif Nagar and Gudimalkapur wards. The judge voiced displeasure at such repeated complaints and wondered when the political parties would learn to abide by law.The judge adjourned the matter to Friday.
Resolve Transco staff dispute soon: SC to HC
New Delhi: A Supreme Court bench consisting Justice Iqbal and Justice Nagappan, on Thursday, issued a directive to the Hyderabad High Court to conduct day-to-day trial into the case of Transco employees.
Responding to a petition of the 1,156 employees removed by Telangana and who were refused to be taken on rolls by AP government, the bench directed the employees to seek redressal in the local court while directing the same to conduct daily trial. The employees approached the SC citing prolonged delay of the HC in resolving the issue. They are also seeking first six months wages after their removal by the TS government which is still pending.
