Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau officials on Thursday arrested Amberpet Mandal Revenue Officer’s brother for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 4 lakh from a complainant at Punjagutta.A complaint was lodged by a realtor from Amberpet with the ACB stating that MRO Sandhya Rani demanded Rs 9 lakh from the realtor to grant permission to an under construction building owned by the complainant. The accused MRO asked the complainant to handover money to her brother on Thursday on installment basis.
Accordingly, a trap was laid by the ACB and MRO’s brother was asked to come to Punjagutta to take the money and he was caught red-handed. Substantially, the ACB officials went to the MRO’s house to arrest her, but she went absconding. A team led by DSP Ravi Kumar conducted searche
