TRS bags Warangal MLC seat unopposed
The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) bagged the Warangal MLC seat unopposed. It may be mentioned here that TRS candidate Konda Murali and five other Independent candidates had filed nominations for the seat.
Hyderabad: The ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) bagged the Warangal MLC seat unopposed. It may be mentioned here that TRS candidate Konda Murali and five other Independent candidates had filed nominations for the seat.
However, while four Independent candidates withdrew their papers on Thursday, the nomination of another Independent was rejected. With this, the lone candidate in the race Konda Murali was elected unopposed.
Though the last date of withdrawal of nominations was December 12, four out of five Independent candidates withdrew their papers while the nomination of another Independent candidate was rejected.
The ruling party leaders and workers heaved a sigh of relief and celebrated the occasion on a grand scale. Party leaders congratulated Konda Murali over his unopposed victory.
