Hyderabad: The PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad on Friday reserved orders on the question of appointment of junior civil judges.

The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice S V Bhatt was dealing with a petition filed by Sarasani Satyam Reddy, a practising advocate from the city.

The petitioner sought a stay of judicial appointments till bifurcation of the High Court. He contended that allowing the recruitment process as per the notifications issued in accordance with the AP Judicial Service Rules that too with the notifications issued in the year 2014 and 2015 even after framing its own Rules by the Telangana State would not be proper in eyes of law.

He pointed out that an earlier interim stay granted in this case that said that the process may go on but the results would not be declared till final disposal of the petitions against the recruitment.

The bench said that in view of the order of the Apex Court, it going ahead with the process otherwise it has to face the contempt of court. The bench said that it would take time for the issuance of the appointment orders to the selected candidates while it would take up the final hearing of the case and any appointment would be subject to the final orders of the court.
