New Delhi: Telangana State Public Service Commission may soon “help out” private companies and corporates with recruitments as it has started digitising the records of all students at all levels in the State.
Speaking to The Hans India, Dr G Chakrapani, chairperson of the TSPSC here on Friday said the move was being contemplated as one corporate company which was planning to establish its unit in Hyderabad sought help from the Commission in recruiting its staff.
This would not just reduce the burden on the companies and corporates but also would help them recruit qualified persons for their jobs in a smooth way.
The TSPSC was also contemplating to provide a window for people to upload their educational qualification right from the school on their own and access the same as and when necessary.
Chakrapani who was here to receive SKOCH awards said he was happy to receive two awards for excellence and merit. While on Thursday it was the Order of Merit Award, on Friday he received the Best Organisation for Innovative Practices Award.
The technical excellence that has now made TSPSC conduct recruitments online became possible with the help of the IT Department of the State as well as with the support of the Centre for Good Governance, he added.
He said the TSPSC had so far conducted six online recruitments out of nine in three months. The collection of biometric data of 0.28 million candidates and photographing the same during examinations was a remarkable achievement that had come in for praise from the UPSC too, he said.
The Gujarat and Karnataka Public Service Commissions had sent their teams to study the same, he said. The TSPSC is also considering linkage with Adhaar cards he said.
Thanking the intellectuals, officials, academicians and public for the cooperation being extended to the Commission by way of their constructive suggestions, Dr Chakrapani said the effort was to provide transparency at all levels and in every examination. He thanked Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for the encouragement and cooperation being extended to the Commission.
