Residents turn to social media for support

A face book page https://www.facebook.com/OSCARarmy/?fref=ts OSCAR-Army community created six days ago has 20,000 members already.

Speaking about the initiative N V Ramana, who is the social media manager of RWAs said, “All democratic processes have been ignored in the SCB board meeting and the local army authority has been closing roads in a phased manner.

The page has been created to show the agony the people of Secunderabad Cantonment are facing.” OSCAR means Open Secunderabad Cantonment Roads. The residents of the Alwal, Bolarum, Green Fields, Yapral, Kowkur, Balaji Nagar, AS Rao Nagar, Sainikpuri, Anandbagh, Safilguda, Malkajgiri joined facebook.

The demands of the RWAs include opening of already closed roads, removal of night-time restrictions and not to close roads in future.
