The ruling party is playing its trump card by wooing the leaders from other parties and also waiving road tax for auto-rickshaws. The two bedroom houses to the poor is another gift the government is offering to win the elections.

KTR who went on a spree of laying foundation stone for two bedroom houses two days ago said that government had waived Rs 77 crore road tax on auto-rickshaws. He said TRS was a pro- poor government and hence took such a decision. No other state was doing that. “Though it is a loss to the State exchequer, for the welfare of the people we have decided to implement the scheme. In addition, he said, the government had provided Rs 5 lakh accident insurance to them. Unemployed youth would be provided jobs in government services, he said.
